MANILA (Mindanao Examiner / May 29, 2013) – The Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong warned Filipino travelers transiting or entering the territory against bringing restricted items, particularly stun guns or similar devices, either hand-carried or checked-in luggage.

It said 57 airline passengers were arrested last year by Hong Kong Police for illegal possession of stun devices. During the first three months if this year, Hong Kong authorities arrested 14 mostly Filipino seamen for possessing such devices.
