ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / May 20, 2013) – Eight people were injured when a passenger jeep crashed into a parked vehicle on Monday in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines, police said.
Police detained the driver of the jeep, Felix Faller, following the crash which occurred in the coastal village of Maasin.
The wounded passengers who were rushed to hospitals have been identified as Sharifa Imao, 21; Hermalyn Hassan, 17; Muhaimin Almin, 25; Vincent Mercado, 22; Sulma Saman, 16; Kalma Hamsi, 24; Mercy Balang, 38; and Alih Isnani, 48.
Faller told police that he lost control of the jeep due to the slippery road and crashed into a parked vehicle. (Mindanao Examiner)
