DIPOLOG CITY (Mindanao Examiner / May 6, 2013) – Police have launched a manhunt on four robbers who barged into a bank in Zamboanga del Norte province on Monday, officials said.
Officials said the gunmen barged into the Rural Bank of President M.A. Roxas shortly before 11 a.m. and disarmed its two security guards – Gil Duba, 45, and Rodrigo Espinosa, 28 – before robbing the place and escaping in two get-away vans.
Both Duba and Espinosa work for Kadre Security Agency in Dipolog City.
An initial police report said the robbers, armed with .45-caliber pistols, carted two shotguns, four cell phones and two laptop computers from the bank.
It was not immediately known whether the gunmen were able to open to bank’s vault. (Mindanao Examiner)
