
Sultan Kudarat Mayor Datu Tucao Ong Mastura, born on September 3, 1946, is the United Nationalist Alliance gubernatorial candidate in Maguindanao, one of five provinces under the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

Significant Achievements
During his school days, he had received top awards for his scholastic feat; his secondary and baccalaureate schooling was considered remarkable. His earlier academic success prepared him for his future potentials and professional duties. He started his profession as an accountant and later handled more challenging tasks bringing forth his potentials for leadership possibilities.
His stint as the Chief Executive of the Municipality of Sultan Kudarat brought various honors and recognition for the town. In 2011, a Seal of Good House Keeping was awarded by his Excellency President Benigno C. Aquino and then DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo, the same award was also given by the DILG ARMM in 2010.
He had also received various awards of Excellence from H.E. President Joseph Estrada and twice with H.E. President Fidel V. Ramos, in 1999 and 1996 to1997 respectively.
He also received an award for Peace and Order given by the 6th Infantry Battalion in 1991, the 603rd Infantry Brigade in 1983 and the Southern Mindanao Command in 1977.
An Outstanding Mayor in 1989 to 1990 given by the Department of Interior and Local Government Region XII.
Datu Tocao Mastura also made his presence through membership and representations of a range of organizations and delegations, starting with his Rotary Exchange to Houston Texas in 1983; he was a member of the RP Peace Panel to Middle East on MNLF Problem in 1984 as well as in 1994, RP Peace Goodwill Mission to Red China in 1985.
He was a RP-ARMM representative on MNLF Peace Talk to Senegal in 1991, a member of the Representatives of the Al Khairiah Foundation to UAE in 1991.
He was one of the members of the Philippine Delegation to Toronto, Canada’s 31st World Local Administrator Congress, also a member of the EAGA Conference to Indonesia and Malaysia both in 1995.
His declared principles and aims for governance: He will actively support the faithful implementation of the Framework Agreement for the Bangsamoro, promote good governance by strengthening the spiritual consciousness of the people.
Strengthen the educational system and the Madaris Education.
Promotion of Agro-Industry hence providing livelihood opportunities and uplift economic conditions of the people, support the Regional Economic Zoning or the REZA (Regional Economic Zone Authority), protect and preserve the natural resources and maintain ecological balance and promote the Tourism Industry.
Improved health and child care system, encouragement of other organizations and other sector of the society to participate in government affairs and bringing government closer to its people.
