ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE – Two children had died in a fire that razed their house in Liloy town in Zamboanga del Norte province in southern Philippines, police said Saturday.
Police said the children, Joseph Bauyan, 5, and Mirasol Bauyan, 3, were left in the house by their parents with their 17-year old sister, Arlyn, who is mentally incapacitated.
It said the teenager cooked rice and left it unattended. Their parents were out of the house when the fire broke out.
The parents of the victims were being investigated by the police. (Mindanao Examiner)
