ZAMBOANGA CITY – Through the intervention of Zamboanga City Mayor Beng Climaco, the Zamboanga City Electric Cooperative now managed by Crown Investment Holdings, Inc. and Desco Inc. paid some P73 million in billings for the month of May to Western Mindanao Power Corporation.

The payment was made after Climaco met with representatives of the electric cooperative and the power supplier and appealed to both sides to thresh out their differences and provide Zamboanga with uninterrupted power supply.
Western Mindanao Power Corp. consultant Ruben Conti said the payment is stipulated under a contract/agreement that both parties signed earlier, but Climaco’s intervention paved the way for the swift action by Zamboanga City Electric Cooperative. (Kathy Wee Sit)
