THE CITY government of Ozamiz will provide free hospitalization and free funeral services to all Ozamiznons under the new city Mayor Sancho Fernando “Ando” Oaminal.
During a press conference, Mayor “Ando” Oaminal said this fulfills his vision to provide Ozamiznons the comfort they need.
“This is in fulfillment na maka hatag ug insakto nga serbisyo para sa katawhan aron makatabang pod ug pag lambo sa tagsa2x ka pa muyo – This is in fulfillment to provide the right services to help people improve the way they live,” the Mayor said.
He added, “the city government is offering free service not just to make life easier for indigent residents but to help the people in Ozamiz.”
The citizens of Ozamiz will no longer worry for the hospitalization, funeral bills as this will be shouldered by the LGU of Ozamiz, the Mayor said.
“Sugod karon, simbako ug naay ma hospital, basta taga Ozamiz, ug dinhi lang sa Ozamiz City nga hospital, bisag ma private ang gobyerno na ang mo bayad – Starting today, God forbid someone will be hospitalized, just as long as they are in Ozamiz, even in a private hospital, the government will pay,” he said.
The indigent, unemployed, government employees and even private employees in the city can avail themselves of free hospitalization and free funeral services.
This program is one of the campaign promises of Mayor Ando Oaminal on his Inaguaration.(By Shaine Mae R. Nagtalon)
