THE PHILIPPINE ASSOCIATION of Social Workers, Inc. (PASWI) has named the Zamboanga City Social Welfare Office and members of the local PASWI chapter as the “Best PASWI Chapter.”
The awarding was made during the recent 11th Mindanao PASWI convention here. Zamboanga City Social Welfare Officer Socorro Rojas and the local PASWI chapter bested other chapters “for their exemplary performance collectively executed by committed members and leaders through various activities and projects which indeed uphold the truest meaning of a dynamic profession thereby achievements immensely contributed to the realization of PASWI’s vision, mission and goals.”

Rojas along with social worker Ronald Cervas were both nominees for “Best Social Worker” and have been recognized during the awarding ceremony.
Mayor Beng Climaco praised Rojas and Cervas, and the Zamboanga City Social Welfare Office and the local chapter of PASWI for their dedication to public service. “Muchas gracias por los esfuerzos y contribucion para el bien estar del ciudadanos de Zamboanga,” she said. (Zamboanga Post)
