‘Ngunit tiwala ng publiko sa Pangulo, malaki pa rin’
DAVAO CITY – Bumagsak ang satisfaction rating ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa huling survey ng Social Weather Stations (SWS).
Sa 3rd quarter survey, bumagsak ito sa +50 mula sa +58 sa nakalipas na 2nd quarter survey ng naturang pollster company.
Isinagawa ang survey noong nakaraang buwan sa 1,200 respondents mula sa Mindanao, Visayas at Luzon at inilabas ang resulta kamakailan lamang. Sa naturang survey, bumagsak ang rating ni Duterte sa Mindanao, Visayas at Luzon, at maging sa Metro Manila.
Sinabi rin ng SWS na lumagapak rin ang satisfaction rating ni Duterte sa mga Class A, B at C – mula sa pagiging “excellent” ay naging “good” na lamang ito o halos 34 points ang ibinaba kumpara sa huling SWS survey.
Ngunit sa kabuuan ay mataas pa rin umano ang tiwala ng mga respondents kay Duterte at base sa nasabing survey ay 65% sa mga ito ang nagsabing “satisfied” sila sa general performance ng gobyerno at 19% ang “undecided,” samantalang 15% ang “dissatisfied.”
Sinabi naman ni Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo na sa kabila ng resulta ng SWS survey ay malinaw umano na “satisfied” pa rin ang mga Pilipino kay Duterte.
“We welcome the results of the Third Quarter Survey conducted by Social Weather Stations showing 78%, or +65, of adult Filipinos, expressing satisfaction with the performance of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte as the country’s Chief Executive. Considering the national sampling error margin at plus/minus 2.3%, we consider the dip in satisfaction, which stood at 80%, or +68, last June 2019 as insignificant,” pahayag pa ni Panaelo.
Ayon kay Panelo, hindi umano natitinag si Duterte sa mga resulta ng survey at hindi rin ito interesado sa anumang popularity contest. “While the President would simply shrug off his survey numbers, saying he is not interested in any popularity contest relative to his governance because with or without a soaring satisfaction rating, he is unaffected and will just continue to do his constitutional task of serving and protecting the people even at the loss of his life, liberty and honor.”
“It is indisputable that the Filipino people remain enamoured with President Duterte, as well as in his policies and actions of governance, to the consternation and envy of his incorrigible critics and detractors,” wika pa ni Panelo. (Mindanao Examiner)
