MANILA (Mindanao Examiner / Dec. 27, 2012) – Rep. JV Ejercito Estrada celebrated his birthday at a temporary shelter with victims of a recent fire in San Juan City.

Ejercito Estrada, who turned 49 on Wednesday, shared foods intended for his party to some 1,000 people in the evacuation area. He said his constituents needed the food more than his family and friends.

The lawmaker, who is a son of former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada, also appealed for relief aid for the fire victims, mostly from Barangay Saint Joseph.

Ejercito Estrada was praised by many for his noble deeds just like his father, who always celebrate his birthday with the poor.

Sonia Keh, the lawmaker’s aunt, said: “That was the noblest birthday you shared with San Juan fire victims. Birthday comes every year, but your constituents need your help now.  With my full admiration for that sincere concern to the fire victims’ God rewards those who help others. Happy Birthday.”

Malou Manlapaz also left a comment on Ejercito Estrada’s Facebook page and said: “I salute you Sen. JV. Keep up the good work Sen. JV.”
Sen refers to a Senator.
