MANILA (Mindanao Examiner / Dec. 18, 2012) – San Juan City Rep. JV Ejercito Estrada on Tuesday congratulated new Philippine police chief Allan Purisima.
Purisima replaced Nicanor Bartolome who stepped down after retiring from the police service.
“Congratulations to Deputy Director General Alan Purisima on his assumption as Chief of the Philippine National Police. There’s no doubt that the new PNP chief, a former Chief of Directorial Staff, has the full trust and confidence of President Benigno Aquino III. As a young officer, he was tasked to secure the life and safety of the young man who was to become President,” Ejercito Estrada said.
“I expect that PNP Director General Purisima will do right by the people, especially at a time when we are about to exercise our right to choose our leaders for the next three or six years. I wish you success in all your endeavors,” he added.
Purisima, a native of Ilocos Sur province in Northern Philippines, is a member of Philippine Military Academy Class 1981. (Mindanao Examiner)
