
The Zamboanga City Hall, adorned with colorful lights, attracts hundreds of people every night, posing for pictures in front of the century-old building once used as garrison of Spanish, American and Japanese forces. And residents walk in the colorful and decorated Plaza Pershing also in Zamboanga City in the southern Philippines. The public square is named after U.S. General John Joseph “Black Jack” Pershing, who was military commander and governor of the Moro province where Zamboanga was then the capital.(Mindanao Examiner Photo)
