IPIL, Zamboanga Sibugay – A total of 200 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) from the towns of Kabasalan, Naga, Ipil, and Tungawan, received electronic land titles covering 270 hectares, securing their land tenure and empowering them as farmers.
The initiative is part of the Department of Agrarian Reform’s (DAR) individual title distribution under the Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) project.
Jonathan Endino, one of the beneficiaries who hails from Barangay San Pedro, Tungawan town, conveyed his heartfelt appreciation for receiving the title to his land.
“I am very thankful to DAR for granting my wish to finally receive a title for my land,” Endino said.
Through the SPLIT project, DAR converts Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) into individual land titles to empower ARBs with full ownership of the land they farm.
Attorney Ramon Madroñal Jr., regional director of DAR-9, encouraged ARBs to make the most of the opportunities that come with land ownership.
“With this support from the government, I encourage you all to work hard, strive for prosperity, and make the most of this land to become more productive,” Madroñal said.
The agency also highlighted its ongoing support through the Support Services Program, which provides farm machinery and equipment, as well as the Agrarian Justice Delivery Program (AJDP), which offers legal assistance with land ownership issues.
The distribution ceremony was met with joy and gratitude from the ARBs, whose smiles reflected renewed hope and a brighter, more secure future for their families.
