Missing motorcycle cabbie found dead in Zamboanga City

ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Sept. 11, 2012) – A motorcycle taxi driver was found dead after his family reported him missing in Zamboanga City in the southern Philippines, police said Tuesday.
It said Jeffrey Derong, 33, was last seen driving his motorcycle on Monday. His body was discovered in the village of San Ramon.
Village chieftain Josephine Pareja informed the police about the body found at a grassy area in the San Ramon. Derong’s wife positively identified the victim.
Police said Derong had multiple stabbed wounds in the body and that his motorcycle was missing and believed stolen by his assailants.
No individual or group claimed responsibility for the killing. (Mindanao Examiner. Joymarie Soler)
