
ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Aug. 28, 2012) – The Zamboanga City Government has donated on Tuesday 6 brand new vans to the local police force as part of its peace and security assistance program.
The program is aimed at enhancing the capability of the police in performing its duties to protect the citizens.
The L-300 Mitsubishi vans worth over P5 million were handed over to the regional police chief Napoleon Estilles and city police chief James Mejia in a ceremony attended by local officials.
The local government earlier donated 11 smaller vans to the police for use in their patrol. (Mindanao Examiner)
