ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / August 02, 2012) – Police arrested a man accused of burning the house of his girlfriend in Zamboanga City in the southern Philippines.
Police said no one was injured or killed in the fire that gutted the house Wednesday of Angelita Degamo in the village of Patalon. The man, Henry Susulan, was arrested in an operation mounted by the local police force.
Investigators said Susulan was drunk when he arrived and torched the house without any apparent reason.
Susulan, now languishing in jail, is facing arson charges, police said. (Angelie Cahulugan)
