ZAMBOANGA CITY (Al Jacinto / July 8, 2012) – A police officer in Zamboanga City is facing charges after he allegedly pour hot coffee during interrogation on the face of a man accused of carnapping.
The incident occurred last month after authorities arrested the suspect and interrogated him at the local police headquarters.
The victim told his family about what happened and had decided to file charges against the officer.
The Commission on Human Rights and the Amnesty International has been told about the case.
Despite the charges, the officer is still serving as head of a police unit. (Mindanao Examiner)
