House Deputy Speaker napipisil bilang mayor ng Zambo!

ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / May 7, 2012) – Ngayon pa lamang ay lumalakas na ang panawagan ng maraming residente at iba’t-ibang grupo sa Zamboanga City na tumakbo bilang mayor si Rep. Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar na siya rin House Deputy Speaker.

Ito’y matapos na umano’y mabigo si Rep. Erico Fabian na makuha ang basbas ng mga ka-alyado sa Zamboanga City na mapili bilang kandidato sa pagka-mayor sa darating na halalan. Nasa ikatlo at huling termino na si Fabian.

Si Salazar, na nasa ikalawang termino pa lamang, ang pinaka-respetadong pulitiko sa Zamboanga at walang bahid ng anumang isyu ng pagnanakaw o korupsyon at kabilang ang angkan sa mga pinagkakapitagan sa naturang lugar.

Nais rin ng mga residente na umusad ang Zamboanga dahil halos walang pagbabago ito sa nakalipas na dalawang dekada.

Kilalang ka-alyado rin ni Pangulong Benigno Aquino si Salazar at kabilang sa inner circle ng mga malalapit sa Malakanyang.

Hindi pa mabatid kung sino ang pipillin ni Salazar na maging katuwang nito sa pagka-vice mayor at gayun rin sa dalawang congressional seats ng Zamboanga, subalit ayaw umano ng mga supporters nito na masabitan ng mga trapong-pulitiko ang line-up ng mambabatas.

Isinusulong rin ng maraming mga grupo si Crisanto dela Cruz, na dating pari at kilalang pilantropo sa Zamboanga City, upang tumakbo sa halalan, ngunit abala naman ito sa kanyang mga pagkakawang-gawa dito. (Mindanao Examiner)
