“Tatak CdeO” Travel Exchange in Cagayan de Oro City successful

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Apr. 19, 2012) – Explore Cagayan De Oro, the City of Golden Friendship “Where you’re unstoppable experience begins” and this was how the City Vice Mayor Ceasar Ian Acenas, who represented Mayor Vicente Emano, during the privilege speech in the opening of Travel Exchange (Travex) 2012.
Acenas expressed their keenness to uplift the tourism of the city after the tragedy of Typhoon Sendong on December last year that took about a thousand lives.  
The Department of Tourism in Northern Mindanao with the support of the City Government of Cagayan de Oro through the Liga ng mga Barangay and Sunbee Tours and Travel, hosted the first “Tatak CdeO” Travel Exchange.
The Travex organizers arranged a pre-Charter Day activity, which will culminate on June 15 and about 30 leading travel and tours agencies, corporate travel planners and media practitioners from all around the Philippines will be invited to convene for a two day of pre-scheduled, one-on-one meetings with Cagayan de Oro City’s travel suppliers and tourism officials.
The event also highlighted the unveiling of the Philippines’ first 3D Painting Modern Art Museum that launched the brand “Tatak CdeO”.
The organizer also showcased its familiarization tour for the participants who visited the Museum of 3 Cultures, the Ostrich Farm, Gaston Park at St. Agustin Cathedral, the Macahambus Cave, Divine Mercy Park, Jatico Adventure, Zorp Ball and other adventure activities.
  
“If Palawan has their own exotic crocodile meat, the City of Cagayan is delighted to offer the finest and rare and exotic big bird red meat – Ostrich. Visitors will surely enjoy the sumptuous specialty – Ostrich ala Pobre” in a sizzling plate with vegetables on the side and the appetizing Ostrich Hot Barbeque and lip-smacking plate-size biggest Big Bird burger here in Cagayan De Oro City,” the Regional Tourism Director Catalino Chan III, tod the Mindanao Examiner.
The event also brought tourism partners a chance to explore the nearby places of Camiguin Island, Ozamiz City, Iligan City and Bukidnon.

Chan said the 1st EXPLORE CdeO Travel 2012 which was recently held at Limketkai Mall offered a grand opportunity for industry movers, event planners, and incentive organizers to build up and renew invaluable opportunities to network with their peers in the tourism industry.  (Mark Navales)
