
MANDAUE CITY has donated a van to the local jail authorities to help in transporting inmates during court hearings.
Mayor Jonas Cortes handed over the customized van to jail officials led by Senior Inspector Jonabelle Roiles, warden for female wards. Chief Inspector Gil Inopia and Vice Mayor Glenn Bercede and members of the City Council witnessed the handover.
Cortes said the van has a capacity of 11 people. Inopia thanked Cortes for the van. The local jail has at present a total of 114 female inmates and 1,116 male inmates. (MNS)
