ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Jan. 24, 2012) – The Philippine Army’s 55th Engineer Brigade said it has completed over 50% of a 10-door apartment which would house families of soldiers who will be chosen as beneficiaries of the project.
The project, which started in May last year, is part of the enhanced housing programs by the Armed Forces of the Philippines to boost the morale and welfare of the soldiers.
The apartment has an attic and with a total floor area of 1,346.60 square meters.
The 55th Engineer Brigade, under Brig. Gen. Michaelo Salvaleon, was issued a Construction Directive Number 55E-02-11to undertake the project worth some P 11,892, 857 and is being undertaken by the Engineer Maintenance Support Battalion headed by Lt. Col. Nestor De Vera.
It said the construction of the project is under the supervision of Capt. Arvin Cabantug.
“The Army Engineers will continuously do its mission of providing general engineer support to the entire Philippine Army in their Base Development Program along units as part of the Army Transformation Roadmap of improving camps and facilities,” said 1st Lt.
