CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Nov. 21, 2011) – Philippine authorities are searching for South Korean national who went missing while water skiing at a resort off the southern province of Misamis Oriental.
Police said the 28-year old Kim Soehuan failed to return to his group of Korean and Filipino picnickers in Opol town on Sunday afternoon. It said the picnickers came all the way from Cagayan de Oro City.
Rescuers had recovered his jet ski and feared Kim may have drowned after falling off from his jet ski, said Inspector Rogelio Labal, the municipal police chief.
“We have not recovered his body, but the search is going on,” he told the Mindanao Examiner.
It was not immediately known whether the foreigner was visiting the country for a holiday or living in Cagayan de Oro City. (Mindanao Examiner)
