JOLO, SULU – In light of the recent fire incident, Vice Governor Abdusakur M. Tan arranged a meeting with the key officials of Barangay Tulay to strengthen efforts, deliver key plans, and address vulnerable issues in the community. This includes providing key initiatives that promote preventive measures and arranging possible actions that would prevent foreseeable events from happening.
In attendance were Municipal Councilors, Barangay Officials, the Provincial Administrator, and Provincial Engineers.
The recent fire has affected 64 families, with 51 totally damaged and 13 partially affected. Earlier today, Vice Governor Tan and other key officials personally conducted an ocular inspection of the fire-affected areas, stimulating collective efforts among them to deliver better results.
In a collective agreement, Vice Governor Tan affirmed his support for the construction and widening of roads in the area following issues of congestion, which hindered the entry of fire trucks at the time of the incident. This action would allow authorities to facilitate easier access and better address future-related incidents in the community. The Vice Governor also extended financial support to the families affected by the incident.
Barangay Tulay, on the other hand, continues to provide services and endorse relevant support for the affected families. They also affirmed their active engagement in this endeavor.
This engagement emphasized the solidarity and commitment of the Sulu Provincial Government to local communities in further enhancing service delivery for its constituents. (OSVG/PR)
