ABANTE: Kasong Plunder!

MANILA – Inihain na kahapon ng Department of Justice (DOJ) sa pangunguna ni Justice Sec. Leila de Lima ang kasong plunder, malversation, direct bribery at paglabag sa graft and corrupt practices sa tanggapan ng Ombudsman laban sa 38 personalidad na kinabi­bilangan ng limang mambabatas, kasama ang tatlong senador, at walong tauhan nito, tatlong dating kongresista, limang opis­yal ng iba’t ibang ahensya ng gobyerno, anim na presidente ng mga pekeng non-government organizationsat 10 tauhan ng implementing agencies na nakipagtransaksyon sa umano’y mga pekeng NGOs at ang umano’y utak ng pork barrel scam na si Janet Lim-Napoles.

Dakong alas-3:30 ng hapon nang dumating ang convoy ng sasakyan ng kalihim kasama ang whistleblower na si Benhur Luy at abogado nitong si Atty. Levito Baligod at napapalibutan ng mga armado at naka-bullet proof na mga tauhan ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) sa Office of the Ombudsman.

Kabilang sa mga kasong isinampa ay mga kasong plunder laban kina Sens. Juan Ponce Enrile, Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla Jr., Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada at mga dating kongresistang sina Rizalina Seachon-Lanete at Edgar Valdez ng APEC partylist.

Sa inihaing demanda, inaakusahang tumanggap umano si Enrile ng kickback at komisyon mula kay Napoles na aabot sa P172,834,500; si Revilla ay P224,512,500; si Estrada ay P183,793,750; si Seachon-Lanete ay P108,405,000 at si Valdez ay P56,087,500.

Habang mga kasong malversation, direct bribery at paglabag sa Anti-graft and Corrupt Practices Act sa mga da­ting mambabatas na sina Rodolfo Plaza, Sa­muel Dang­wa at Constantino Jaraula.

Pasok din sa kaparehong kaso ang mga chief of staff at tauhan ng mga nabanggit na mambabatas na sina Atty. Jessica Lucila Reyes, chief of staff ni Enrile; Atty. Richard Camber, staff ni Revilla; Ruby Tuason, tauhan ni Enrile; Pauline Labayen, staff ni Estrada; Jose Sumalpong, chief of staff ni Lanete; Jeanette dela Cruz, district staff ni Lanete, Erwin Dangwa, chief of staff ni Dangwa; at Carlos Lozada, staff ni Dangwa.

Nahaharap naman sa kasong plunder, malversation, bribery at paglabag sa Anti-graft and Corrupt Practices Act sina Allan Javellana, former president ng National Agribusiness Corp.; Gondelina Amata, president ng National Livelihood Development Corporation; Antonio Ortiz, former director general, Trai­ning and Research Center; Dennis Cunanan, for­mer deputy director gene­ral, TRC; at Salvador Salacup, former president ng ZNAC Rubber Estate Corporation, ngayon ay assistant secretary ng Department of Agriculture.

Kasong plunder at malversation ang inihain sa anim na presidente ng umano’y pekeng NGOs na inuugnay kay Napoles na sina Jocelyn Piorato, Agricultura Para sa Magbubukid Foundation Inc.; Nemesio Pablo, Agri and Economic Program for Farmers Foundation Inc.; My­lene Encarnacion, Countrywide Agri and Rural Economic and Development Foundation Inc.;John Raymund de Asis ng Kaupdanan Para sa Mangu­nguna Foundation; Evelyn de Leon, Philippine Social Development Foundation Inc.; at Ronald John Lim ng Ginintuang Alay sa Magsasaka Foundation Inc.

Lima namang opisya­les ng mga implementing agencies ang kinasuhan ng plunder, malversation, at paglabag sa Anti-graft and Corrupt Practices Act by conspiracy ay ang mga opis­yales ng NABCOR na sina Victor Cacal, Romulo Revelo, Julie Johnson, Rhodora Mendoza, habang tatlong opisyales sa NLDC na sina Sofia Criz, Alexis Sevidal at Chila Jalandoni, at dalawang opisyal naman sa TRC na sina Francisco Figura at Marivic Jover.

Sa isinagawang press conference kahapon, sinabi ni De Lima na matibay ang kanilang mga ebidensiya kung pagbabasehan ang pahayag ni Luy at ng 15 pang whistleblower at ang truckload ng mga ebidensya at dokumento na kanilang hawak mula sa Commission on Audit, Department of Budget and Management (DBM) at Securites and Exchange Commission.

Ayon pa kay De Lima, unang batch pa lamang ang kanilang inihaing kaso laban sa mga nabanggit na perso­nalidad at posibleng sa susunod na linggo ay maihahain na nila ang ikalawang batch na konektado naman umano sa Malampaya fund scam. (Ni Joselito Perez)
