MANILA (Mindanao Examiner / July 21, 2014) – President Benigno Aquino inaugurated Monday the Philippine Arena, an indoor stadium owned by Iglesia ni Cristo’s (Church of Christ) New Era University, in the town of Bocaue in Bulacan province just outside Manila.

The 15-storey arena can accommodate over 55,000 people and sits on a 75-hectare tourism zone and was also featured last year in Discovery Channel’s Man Made Marvels because of its architecture and strength that makes it quake proof.

INC Executive Minister Eduardo Manalo welcomed Aquino and his entourage. Speaking before a huge crowd, Aquino praised the INC for the inauguration of the arena.
