COTABATO CITY – Canadian embassy officials and heads of other humanitarian agencies in the Philippines have recently visited the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao and were briefed by Filipino officials on the status of various projects being implemented in the ARMM.
ARMM Executive Secretary Laisa Alamia together with other government officials discussed the progress of the various humanitarian projects in the provinces under the autonomous region.
The delegation included Stephen Weaver, Canadian Embassy Counselor; Genevieve Asselin, Canadian Embassy 1st Secretary; Martin Bettelley, World Food Program Country Director; and Aristotle Portugal, Food and Agriculture Organization Deputy Country Director, among others.
They also expressed interest in exploring possible partnership on socio-economic programs. (Bureau of Public Information)
