Badminton group cites Sulu governor for support to sports

SULU – Badminton enthusiasts on Thursday have cited Sulu Governor Totoh Tan for his support to sports development in the southern province.

Members of the 16 Feathers Badminton Association in Jolo town led by Councilwoman Lovely Isahac and Radyo ng Bayan broadcaster Nashra Anni handed an appreciation certificate to Tan in recognition to his invaluable support and assistance.

Tan funded the construction of a badminton court inside the compound of the provincial police headquarters in Jolo.

The 16 Feathers Badminton Association said there is steady and growing numbers of badminton enthusiasts in the province.

Tan, a known sportsman, has also constructed basketball courts and other sports facilities in the province to encourage the youth and promote healthy physical sports in the province. (Mindanao Examiner)
