ZAMBOANGA CITY – A grenade exploded at a construction site of a shopping mall in Zamboanga City and police were searching for a former worker to shed light on his possible involvement in the attack.
Police said the grenade exploded at dawn Wednesday at the roof of a warehouse of City Mall in the village of Tetuan. It said the former worker had earlier threatened another construction man following a fist fight over money.
It was unknown whether the former worker tossed the grenade, but police said it wanted to question the man.
The grenade’s safety lever was also recovered by policemen and said an MK2 was used in the attack. There were no reports of casualties from the explosion. (Mindanao Examiner)
