ZAMBOANGA CITY – Police said the body of a nine-year old girl who drowned in a river here had been recovered near an island off Zamboanga City in southern Philippines.
Police said the body of Ana Marie Angeles was claimed by her family. The corpse was found floating near Sirommon Island on October 26.
Angeles was with two other cousins Jay-Ar Angeles and Emely Angeles and were swept away by strong current while bathing in the river in the village of Bolong. Emely also drowned and her body had been recovered too while Jay-Ar survived. (Mindanao Examiner)
