PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / May 23, 2013) – A homemade bomb exploded Thursday afternoon at the parking area of a mall in Pagadian City in Zamboanga del Sur province in southern Philippines, police said.
Police said there were no reports of casualties, but the explosion destroyed two cars parked outside the Gaisano Mall in downtown Pagadian.
No individual or group claimed responsibility for the blast and authorities would not say if the attack was related to terrorism or extortion.
Police said it launched an investigation into the blast. (Mindanao Examiner)
