‘Bombay’ itinumba sa Mindanao

KIDAPAWAN CITY – Isang Indian national na may negosyong 5-6 o pautang ang pinaslang ng mga di-kilalang salarin sa lungsod ng Tacurong sa Sultan Kudarat sa magulong rehiyon ng Mindanao.

Sinabi ng pulisya kahapon na patuloy ang kanilang imbestigasyon sa pagkakapatay kay Harpeet Dhillon, 27, na pinagbabaril kamakalawa habang sakay ng kanyang motorsiklo sa kahabaan ng highway sa Barangay San Emanuel. Dead on the spot ang dayuhan dahil sa tama ng mga bala sa ulo at katawan.

Agad naman tumakas ang 2 salarin na sakay ng kanilang motorsiklo. Hindi pa mabatid ang motibo sa krimen, ngunit may hinalana na posibleng konektado ito sa kanyang negosyo. Inaalam na rin ng pulisya ang mga pangalan ng mga taong may utang kay Dhillon.

Nitong taon lamang ay ipinag-utos ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang pag-aresto sa mga Indian nationals na nagpapautang ng 5-6 dahil sa mataas nitong singil sa interest na P20 sa bawat P100 pinauutang nito. Bukod sa 5-6 ay nagbebenta rin ang mga ito ng mga kumot, kulambo at kung anu-ano pa at karamihan ay nagaasawa ng mga Pilipina upang mabigyan sila ng permiso na manirahan sa bansa.

Kalimitan ay ginagamit rin ng mga ito ang kanilang asawang Pinay sa pangungulekta ng utang at mistulang katulong sa bahay. (Mindanao Examiner)
