
PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Mar. 28, 2013) – A man stabbed dead his elder brother following an altercation in Lakewood town in Zamboanga del Sur province, police said.
It said Ramon Basalao, a farmer, had a heated argument with his brother Robinson, who was then, drank and unruly that led to the heated argument.
“Initial investigation conducted revealed that the victim was under the influence of liquor and got wild (sic) near the resident of the suspect that causes the latter to stabbed the victim three times at the upper left portion of his abdomen and twice at the lower part of his right breast that resulted to his untimely death,” a police report said, adding “the motive of the incident is purely misunderstanding.”
The younger Basalao escaped after the incident and is now being hunted by the police. (Mindanao Examiner)
