Bus bombing napigilan sa Tacurong City

COTABATO CITY – Napigilan ng mga awtoridad ngayon Abril 9 ang isa sanang madugong pambobomba ng bus sa Mindanao matapos na madiskubre sa checkpoint sa Tacurong City ang dalawang improvised explosive device na gawa mula sa 60mm mortar.

Kinumpirma ito ni Captain Jo-ann Petinglay, ang spokeswoman ng 6th Infantry Division, at sinabing itinanim ang IED sa Yellow Bus Line na patungo sanang bayan ng Isulan sa Sultan Kudarat province. Galing umano sa Tacurong ang bus ng pigilan ito sa checkpoint para sa isang security inspection ng madiskubre ang bomba.

Agad naman itong nabawi ng mga miyembro ng army’s 33rd Explosive Ordnance Division at maingat na inilabas sa bus at doon dinisarmahan ang mga ito.

“The bus was heading to Isulan town when it was stopped at the checkpoint for security inspection. The IED was found inside the bus during inspection and later disrupted by the EOD team,” ani Petinglay sa Mindanao Examiner.

Walang umako sa bigong pambobomba, ngunit sa mga nakaraang atake ay ibinintang ng militar at pulisya sa sa Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters at breakaway groups ng Moro Islamic Liberation Front.

Sinabi ni Petinglay na nananatiling mahigpit ang siguridad sa Mindanai sanhi ng mga banta ng mga rebeldeng grupo. At magkatuwang rin umano ang militar at pulisya sa pagpapatupad ng checkpoint at inspection sa naturang rehiyon upang mapigilan ang pagkalat ng mga armas at bomba. 

Noong nakaraang buwan lamang ay mahigit sa 100 BIFF ang diumano’y nasawi sa all-out war na inilunsad ng militar sa Maguindanaosa magulong Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.  (Mindanao Examiner)
