
DIPOLOG CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Apr. 14, 2013) – The body of an unidentified man was found in Dipolog City in the southern Philippine province of Zamboanga del Norte, police said.
Police said the body was discovered by a civilian in the village of Turno and reported it to the authorities.
Investigators said the body was found alongside the road and had gunshot wounds. The victim was wearing a pair of black pants and a brown shirt and had the name “Gardo” tattooed on his left hand and another name “Gumobal” on the right arm.
The man was shot at least 6 times in the different parts of his body based on initial investigation, but the identity of the cadaver remains unknown.
Villagers told the police that they heard gunshots in the area and saw a man on a motorcycle speeding away. The motive of the killing is still unknown. (Mindanao Examiner)
