ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Oct.. 01, 2012 ) – A Philippine Navy patrol ship recovered an unidentified body of a man floating at sea off a costal village in the southern port city of Zamboanga, officials said Monday.

Officials said the cadaver was retrieved near the Varadero de Recodo by sailors and handed to the police authority for investigation.

Initial report said the cadaver had a wound on its face, but it was not immediately known whether the body had been dumped in the area or was drifted near the shore.

“The victim was wearing white t-shirt with black shorts pants, more or less 40-50 yrs old and has wounds on the upper right portion of his eyebrow,” the report said. (Marvin Saradat)
