CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Misamis provincial governor Yevgeny Emano has offered P100,000 reward for anybody who can provide information to the police for the arrest of the killers of two Swiss men as authorities continue to search for clues that would give away the identities of the murderers.
Robert Erich Loeber, 67, and Balthasar Johann Erni, 78, were both killed at a beach resort in Opol town while picnicking October 5 with two Filipina women Teresita Virtudazo, and Rowelyn Jane Odchigue, who were unhurt from the shootings.
The motive of the killings was unclear, but police created a task force that will handle the investigation of the twin murders.
Police said it recovered the taxicab allegedly used by the killers on their escape. The cab, believed to have been stolen by the killers, was found abandoned in Cagayan de Oro City where both Loeber and Erni, who arrived in the Philippines last year, resided. (Mindanao Examiner)
