Chinese seaman nagtatago matapos mag-amok

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Isang Chinese seaman ang kasalukuyang pinaghahanap sa kanyang barko na ngayon ay naka-angla sa Zamboanga City matapos na umano’y mapatay nito ang dalawang kasamahan at masugatan ang isa pa.

Ayon sa isang imbestigador ng pulisya ay nagtatago sa MV Qing May ang suspek sa pamamaslang kina Zhang Wenju, 35, ang chief cook ng barko; at si Engineer Xie Zhichao. Sugatan rin sa pananaksak si Engineer Liao Shiguo, 49.

Patungo sa China mula Walcott, Australia ang barko na may kargang iron ore ng humingi ng saklolo kamakalawa sa Philippine Coast Guard sa Zamboanga City ang kapitan nitong si Shengbo Wang at agad naman nasaklolohan ng mga awtoridad ito sa Caldera Point di-kalayuan sa Barangay Sinunuc.

May 25 crew members ang barko, ngunit hindi pa mabatid ang dahilan ng kaguluhan sa pagitan ng mga seamen. Sinabi ng pulisya na ang Department of Foreign Affairs o ang Chinese Embassy ang magbibigay ng pahayag ukol sa naganap.

May mga opisyal na rin ng embassy ang umano’y dumating sa Zamboanga ngunit wala rin ibinigay na anumang pahayag ito. Inaasahan na aalis na rin ang MV Qing May patungong port ng Majishan sa China sa mga susunod na araw at doon ay gagalugarin ng mga awroridad ang buong barko. (Christina Diabordo)
