Convoy ng militar, pinasabugan ng NPA!

DAVAO CITY (Midnanao Examiner / Mar. 14, 2012) – Pinasabugan ng mga rebeldeng New People’s Army ang isang convoy ng mga sundalo sa bayan ng Mawab sa lalawigan ng Compostyela Valley, ngunit milagrong walang nasaktan o nasawi sa panig ng Philippine Army.

Sinabi ni Lt. Col. Lyndon Paniza, ang tagapagsalita ng 10th Infantry Division, na isang landmine ang ginamit ng mga rebelde sa kanilang atake sa Barangay New Visayas kamakalawa ng hapon.

Patungo sana sa bayan ng Maco ang dalawang truck ng mga tropa ng 66th Infantry Battalion ng sila’y tambangan.

Kinondena naman ni Paniza ang NPA sa patuloy na paggamit nito ng mga landmine dahil sa nakaambang peligro nito sa mga sibilyan. “This is just a show off of pathetic criminalities by useless people whose place fits behind bars,” pahayag pa ni Paniza.

“The atrocities (of the NPA) create an atmosphere of fear which closes doors for security and progress. Local government units, stakeholders and non-governmental organizations have concerted their efforts to deliver projects that aim to address social issues, but because of these atrocities it has become difficult for them to deliver those projects to the people,” dagdag pa ng opisyal.

Nuong nakaraang linggo lamang ay isang sundalo ang nasawi sa pagsabog ng landmine na itinanim ng NPA sa Barangay San Vicente sa bayan ng Montevista sa naturang lalawigan.

Matagal ng nakikibaka ang NPA upang maitatag ang sariling estado sa bansa. (Mindanao Examiner)
