CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Police have launched an operation Tuesday to capture an officer who exploded a grenade inside their station that killed his superior and his deputy in southern Philippines, officials said.
Officials said the Gorospe Cairo had been disarmed and suspended after he flunked a random drug test in January and was being investigated by his superiors prior to the attack that occurred February 10 in Cabangsalan town in Bukidnon province.
Cairo returned to the police station and hurled the grenade while the two officers were at the dinner. The officer escaped after the attack. (Mindanao Examiner)
