BASILAN – Motorcycle gunmen killed a policeman in a daring attack in his home in Lamitan City in Basilan, one of 5 provinces under the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
Police said PO3 Basir Sangcopan was attacked by two men – one armed with an automatic rifle – over the weekend. Sancopan was assigned at the Lamitan City police Office.
The motive of the killing is still unknown, but police are investigating the murder. No individual or group claimed responsibility for the attack. (Mindanao Examiner)
