PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / May 16, 2014) – Police arrested a man who attacked two people with a gun and a baseball bat in Pagadian City in southern Philippines.

Police identified the attacker as Cesar Rafael Omoso who allegedly shot Arnold Felicitas and his companion Mark Anthony Elnar near Urro corner Duterte Streets in San Jose District.

Both men escaped the shooting, but Omoso pursued the duo with a baseball bat and caught up with Felicitas whom he struck on the face.

Elnar managed to flee away from Omoso until policemen, led by Senior Inspector June Lawingan, who responded to the gunshots, arrested the assailant and confiscated his .38-caliber revolver. It was not immediately known what triggered the attack.

Police said Felicitas was rushed to hospital with a broken jaw and that Omoso is facing criminal charges for the attack.

Superintendent Glenn Dulawan, the local police chief, ordered an investigation into the incident. (Mindanao Examiner)
