Dayuhan ginagatasan ng BI sa Davao

DAVAO CITY – Ipinag-utos ngayon ni Davao City Mayor Rodrigo sa pulisya ang imbestigasyon sa ilang tiwaling kawani ng Bureau of Immigration matapos na makatanggap ng reklamo sa umano’y pangingikil sa mga dayuhan, ayon sa mga ulat.

Ilang mga estudyante mula sa India ang nag-reklamo na hina-harass umano siya ng isang immigration agent at pilit pa itong ginagatasan ng P5,000.

Sa ulat in Interaksyon, inamin naman ni Duterte na maka-ilang ulit na itong tumanggap ng reklamo mula sa mga dayuhan kung kaya’t nagbabala na ito na itigil na ang ilegal na gawain.

Sinabi pa ni Duterte na siya mismo ang huhuli sa mga immigration agents na sangkot sa tiwaling gawain. Pinaiimbestigahan na rin nito sa Criminal Investigation and Detection Group ang alegasyon ng Indian laban sa tiwaling immigration agent.

Ayon kay Duterte, maraming mga dayuhan ang nagaaral at naglalagay ng negosyo at naninirahan sa Davao dahil sa magandang patakaran at katahimikan doon at ayaw nitong masira ang imahe dahil sa kabuktutan ng mga tiwaling kawani ng pamahalaan. (Mindanao Examiner)
