ZAMBOANGA CITY – Two young men were wounded in a drive-by shooting before dawn Saturday in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines, police said.
Police said the two victims – Josel Carpio and Noel Agustin, both 19 – were shot by a man in a white car along Governor Ramos Avenue in the village of Santa Maria.
“They were shot and wounded by an unidentified person onboard on a white car. Josel Carpio sustained gunshot wounds on his left hand while Noel Agustin was shot in his left leg,” Insp. Dahlan Samuddin, a regional police spokesman, said.
He said the victims were rushed to the Zamboanga Medical Center. “We are investigating this incident,” he said. (Mindanao Examiner)
