ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Mar. 20, 2014) – For three years in a row since 2012, all education graduates of Ebenezer Bible College and Seminary taking the Licensure Examination for Teachers have made it, achieving a 100% passing rate each time.

“We are so happy, they all did their best. We praise God for making this possible,” EBCS President Roland Don Dulaca, said in a statement sent to the regional newspaper Mindanao Examiner.

He said the following, all BEEd major in Preschool Education graduates of EBCS, who passed the LET given this year were Shellah Mae P. Dapitan; Marifel G. Luberas; Esperanza D. Manantan; and Fiona Vale F. Ribo.

Manantan and Ribo are currently teaching at the EBCS Basic Education Department or Ebenezer School.

Another passer, Ailene L. Legaspi, who works for the Ebenezer Community Alliance Church, took an 18-unit Certification in Professional Education course at EBCS.

Dulaca said EBCS has been making a record of astounding success for all its education graduates who take the LET, owing partly to its high standards and relevance.

According to the Professional Regulation Commission and the Board for Professional Teachers, only 30% or 11,120 elementary teachers out of 38,377 examinees, and only 28% or 12,033 secondary teachers out of 42,358 examinees successfully passed the teachers’ examination given on  January 26.

Located at Upper Calarian in Zamboanga City, EBCS is the first and largest school of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Churches of the Philippines, and one of the oldest and finest co-educational schools in the country.

“Through a balanced, relevant, and CHED-compliant curriculum, EBCS remains committed to educating young men and women to become catalysts of change in church and society, all for the glory of God,” Dulaca said.
