Top junior squash player Ng Eain Yow faltered in his bid for a fourth British Junior Open title.
The 17-year-old Malaysian found Egypt’s Saad El Din Ihab simply too tough to handle as he lost 9-11, 4-11, 11-6, 3-11 in the semi-finals on Tuesday.
Saad will go on to meet top seed Youssef Soliman in an all-Egyptian final.
Malaysian will however fight for titles in two events.
Twelve-year-old rising star Mohd Amir Amirul continued his fine run by checking into the boys Under-13 final.
Amir defeated India’s Neel Joshi 14-12, 11-5, 12-10 to set up a clash with England’s Sam Todd.
Aifa Azman also stayed on course for a second British Junior title after she eased into the girls’ Under-15 final.
The 14-year-old beat Egypt’s Nouran Youssef 11-3, 11-8, 11-9 and will meet Marina Stefanoni of the United States for the title.(KNG ZHENG GUAN)
