
ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / May 10, 2013) – A lone gunman shot and wounded a farmer in an attack Friday in Zamboanga City in the southern Philippines, police said.
Police said the attacker shot Absi Iraham, 28, who was walking his friend Fahad Pajiran in the village of Dita. The gunman escaped after the shooting, leaving behind Iraham. Pajiran rushed the victim to the hospital.
The motive of the attack is still unknown and police launched an investigation into the shooting.
Just recently, a gunman also shot and wounded John Kent Lapidario, 27, outside a hotel in downtown Zamboanga.
Lapidario was seated on his motorcycle when shot in the back while waiting for his friend. The gunman tried to flee with the motorcycle, but failed. (Mindanao Examiner)
