ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / May 19, 2013) – A man was killed and his baby seriously wounded in an attack by a lone assailant in their house in Zamboanga del Norte’s Liloy town, police said.
Police said Rene Cruz was carrying his baby when the gunman, who was outside the house, opened fire and hitting the 40-year old father in the face. The baby was also hit in the head.
The gunman escaped after the shooting, police said.
The motive of the attack is still unknown, but police said it launched an investigation into the murder. (Mindanao Examiner)
