PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / May 29, 2014) – A 54-year old widower stabbed his own son during a heated argument inside their house in Pagadian City in Zamboanga del Sur province in southern Philippines, police said Thursday.
Police said Longerciano Traya surrendered to authorities in the village of Kagawasan after stabbing the 26-year old Jerry Traya. He told police that his son was drank when they engaged in a heated argument and apparently losing his temper and stabbed his son in the stomach with a bolo.
The young Traya was rushed to the Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center, eventually died. Police said the father had been detained at the local jail while charges are being prepared against him.
Police did not say what triggered the argument. (Mindanao Examiner)
