MANILA (Mindanao Examiner / Feb. 2, 2012) – Discover the life without a God this Saturday in “The Bottomline with Boy Abunda” as it features the controversial atheist and ‘Filipino Freethinker’ Red Tani.

In a statement sent to the Mindanao Examiner, ABS-CBN described Tani, who grew up from a conservative Catholic family, as “filled with questions about his religion which were all left unanswered.”

“Later on, he explored different religions—Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism—just to sought answers and find his “god.” However, Tani didn’t find a tangible evidence that God exists. Red shared that there were even times that he tried to pray just to feel that he was talking to ‘someone’ or ‘someone’ was listening to him, but he sensed nothing. From there, his belief that God does not exist was formed.”

“What are his family’s reactions towards him being an atheist? What are the beliefs of atheists like him? What can make them believe that there is a God?”

Discover the whole story behind Red’s personality and beliefs in Asian TV Awards’ Best Talk Show for 2011 at 11:30 p.m.
