
ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / July 24, 2013) – A fish trader was shot dead in a daring broad daylight attack Wednesday in Zamboanga city in southern Philippines, police said.
Police said Giovanni Almazan was just buying from a store in Talon-Talon village when motorcycle gunmen attacked him.
The 46-year old trader was shot in the head and killed instantly. The shooter fled on a motorcycle with his companion.
Police said it is investigating the motive of the killing, the 17th victim of gun attacks since early in July.
No individual or group claimed responsibility for the murder. (Mindanao Examiner)
